Dave Smith is an internationally recognized Buddhist meditation teacher, addiction treatment specialist, and published author.
His background is rooted in the Insight Meditation tradition and he was empowered to teach through the Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society. He has extensive experience bringing meditative interventions into jails, prisons, youth detention centers and addiction treatment facilities.
We had the opportunity to sit and talk with Dave about his path, what led him to the Dharma and how that plays a part in recovery. Dave has been involved in the realm of recovery and addiction for at least the last 10 years and works with those in prison as well.
He has a Dharma Mentoring program, as well as offers online classes and trainings.
