Submitting Articles to The Tattooed Buddha
The Tattooed Buddha strives to be an open space for the author’s authentic voice. We offer a dialogue that is aware and awake to the reality of our present day to day, tackling issues of community, environment and compassionate living.
We are looking for articles that reflect a mindful perspective on life and all that encompasses our spin around this third rock from the sun. We choose to highlight stories that show reality from a compassionate and not a sensationalized viewpoint. If you feel you would like to contribute to this mission, we welcome your voice.
How to submit pieces:
Please send articles in Word or in the body of an email at editor@thetattooedbuddha.com along with a short bio, including all relevant links and a photo of yourself. Keep articles in the range of between 500 and 1200 words (this is flexible and not set in stone) and allow up to two weeks for pieces to be published.
In the event that we choose not to publish your work, we will notify you of this. Publishers and editors have the right to refuse any pieces submitted at our own discretion.
If you are submitting a piece that has already been published elsewhere, please include the link as to where it has been published. It is your responsibility to inform the original publisher that you are submitting the piece to us for publication.
Please note: The Tattooed Buddha will not publish a piece that includes links to a product you are promoting or selling (including your blog or website) and will take out any of these links. If you are interested in advertising on our site, please send an email to editor@thetattooedbuddha.com.
The Tattooed Buddha is no longer accepting poetry.
Please DO NOT send us an article with links to outside websites or other articles. The Tattooed Buddha will remove ALL outside links other than the ones in your bio. Please save yourself and us time by not submitting personal promotion pieces.
Images and Artwork:
If you choose to include a photo or artwork with your piece, include the link where it originated from and it must be royalty-free. We have the right to not include said image or artwork. Please include photos in Jpeg format and no larger than 500.
Do we pay writers?
At this time, The Tattooed Buddha does not have the funds to compensate writers and/or contributors. We hope that with growth and time this is something we can do one day.
