I am a psychologist, mindfulness coach and yoga instructor.
This is what my daily meditation practice looks like. While I am in a serene place (Maya Yoga in Kansas City, MO) and dressed in yoga clothes, I am neither lean, nor tan. I am, in fact, sweaty, spent and wearing no makeup after a 90 minute Mysore style ashtanga yoga practice.
My shawl is an old bath towel and my cushion is a 2″ yoga block. On this day, there was a small group of yoga students in front of learning pranayama.
Its not glamorous, but it works well for me and I look forward to this time each day.
