I like to think my meditation practice slows me down a bit and stops me from being reactive.
It gives me the opportunity to just listen to my mind, which I don’t take time to do in the rest of my day, but I realize is an invaluable exercise. Meditation comes in many forms. There’s a lot to be garnered from open-eye meditation, seeing as we spend most of our waking moments with our eyes open.
I’m trying to just focus on one practice first, as opposed to changing it, because I don’t feel there’s much benefit for me if I change it all the time.
I just want more of a bridge between my conscious and my unconscious state.
