By Joel Pelegrina

Send in the clowns.

I am a hashtag blend of Cro-Mag Zen and paper crowns.

I taper my frowns and fend for smiles on the grounds that the Sky is my credit limit with no bounds and the variable rate at which I’m currently in it increases exponentially in order to keep higher the interest of my inner voodoo chile when he’s unwound.

My style is part fire and ice melted down into a turquoise puddle undulating in rhythm to the sound of the bluejays chattering birdsong as they huddle around contemplating which one of them will dip wings first and found a new order in the round.

I tend to the circus of my faster thoughts with the flair of a ringmaster slowly juggling all the mounds of if-thens and why-nots shot from the cannon of my self-wrought asterisks and pounds.

I release all the hounds.

Joel PelegrinaOnce enamored with the itinerant life of the wayfarer, Joel Pelegrina now finds himself most at home when wiling away the hours whittling driftwood words into wondrous shapes both exotic and known. Each handcrafted piece is lovingly made, carved with an array of ancient implements equal parts archaic and modern, with methods both traditional and avant-garde. Needless to say, it is not for the flea market or occasional arts & crafts fair for which these relics are made, although in such company they would most perfectly reside; no, these artifacts and totems are meant for more personal locales, in the lofty residences of all those of open mind and gypsy soul, perhaps best placed on the mantels of all the inner sanctums in which we find the most solace.
